FEBRUARY; MONTH OF SCIENCE

February has been a month of experimentation, homes have become Science labs. 

This activity helps our students to spend more time with their families as well as reduce their time using screens, which is one of our main objectives in this project. We thank all of our families their involvement in this project.

SMART KIDS TELL US WHAT THEY LEARN

Our students are learning a lot with this project and they have thought that it would be a great idea to share their message with more students that can learn from their experience ! We are really thankful to be part of this project that have given our students such a good knowledge and we hope they keep  this experience.

DISSEMINATION AT SCHOOL OF MALTA MOBILITY

After their arrival, teachers brought to their classes what they have learnt. This makes children involved in the activities developed in the mobility. Children have prepared some activities where they show what they understand and learn about the countries their teachers have visited as part of the project.

ETWINNING MEETING

 In February we had an eTwinning meeting to see our partners. We were really excited and happy. We could see each other for a bit. We ghad some technical problems but we enjoyed a lot. We cant wait to see all soon.

MALTA MOBILTY:TRADITIONS AND MODERN ROBOTICS

 Some of the activities that were proposed in Malta were related to tradition and some others to Technology. On Wednesday the teams from different countries attended to a play where children represented a maltese wedding. Children were great andgave their partner teachers  some typical wedding sweets with a card made by them. 

After that all teachers received training in robotics and computional thinking across the curriculum. They  were active particiants of the  workshop where they got to programme and use robots as well as learnt how to use them in their classes. 

 The speaker taught them  different techniques to work with STEAM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics and Arts ) with Primary and Kindergarten Education children in the classroom. Both activities have been  of great interest for all teachers involved.

MALTA MOBILITY

From the 7th to the 11th of February some of the teachers involved in the project travelled to Malta to continue with the development fo the activities that will help us to reach our targets. They worked on several topics throughout these activities:

-Direct observation of different classroom activities in Primary School and Infant Education. Throughout this activity many ideas were shared not only related to culture but also.

-Meetings for sharing ideas and new proposals for next term. 

On the first day they  visited St. Francis Primary School in  Cospicua a school with primary school students. After the proper welcome of Malta coordinator they held a meeting where teachers involved made different presentations related to the project and the use of ICT in the classrooms. 

After the meeting they visited some classes to see how children use interactive boards and Teams in their lessons.

In the afternoon, all of them  visited the city of Valletta. At 6 pm all the members of the erasmus team had a networking  dinner together.

SAFER INTERNET DAY


 At schools the education in the correct use of New Technologies is something extremely important and teachers  are aware of this. It is a content that is in our programmes every year. Students introduction to tablets, smartphones and videogames are earlier and earlier and they need support on how to use properly and in a healthy way. 

Safer internet day gives us the opportunity to act as a whole school celebrating this day  to emphasize the importance of this topic even more than we usually do usual. 

This year all partners  worked on  the topic together an created a puzzle with all the ideas that children  worked in class. They summarize them in drawings and they were put together in a puzzle.
