SPAIN MOBILITY

From May 30th to June 3rd Partner schools from Malta, Turkey and Poland visited our school and participated in many activities, lessons, visits and official acts. They took part of the daily lessons of Infant Education and Primary school, shariong experiences with the teachers and students in class. All of them were very enthusiastic about the different tasks, performasnce and presentations made by the students. All of them were related to the objective of our common project. The rational use of ICT. 

One of the visits was to Viernoles were  the programs at CRIE  and CEAM are developed being both of them highly appreciated  by all of the partner teachers and principals. 

They attended to different teacher training sessions where they could discuss aspects related to the project, such as risks of the use of technology in children imparted by Jose Manuel Martin Arias  and The use of language and values in Education by Javier Barbero. 

All teachers were received by the Town  Hall corporation as well as by  Marina Lombó, the  Minister of Education in Cantabria and other politicians that work with her. 

They  also visited La Magdalena Palace, the reopened Tunnel of Tetuán, and the city center witnessing some of the most beautiful monuments of the Capital of Cantabria. 

It was a really enriching week for all of the Educative community in San Vicente de la Barquera with a lot of the learning experiences  shared.

JOINT PRODUCT: EBOOK ABOUT TECNOLOGY

 

 One of the results of our project  is this COLABORATIVE EBOOK made by the partner schools of   Poland, Spain, Malta and Turkey. Through it you can read about educational use of Technology. 

FAMILY MAY

 This school year families are participating in our project too. They are  always an important part of school life . Continuing the Family May of last year, they are spendig quality time with their children not only at the weekends but alsoduring school days. They practice sports, they read together, they cook... children really enjoy these kind of activities that show them how to use their free time outdoors and in a healthy way. 

DISSEMINATION OF TURKEY MOBILITY AT SCHOOLS.

 After the LTT in Konya teachers have explained to their students and colleagues their experience and have brought to their classess some of tha activities that were carried out with children there. Dissemination is a principal part of this mobilities as students and teacher  benefit with all new learnings and experiences. 

TURKEY MOBILITY

This week teachers and students have shared a fantastic experience in Konya, where all the educative community of Zeki Altindag school did a great job regarding  the organitation of all the activities. Some of the workshops developed were:

-Presentation of the risks and advantages of the use of Technology.

-Cultural visits to historical places in Turkey where the visitors learnt a lot of the History of the country.

-Crafts workshops where different techniques were shown, so that they can be taken to the different partners schools and practice them with the students. 

-Assistance to different classes where some acivities of different subjects were taking place.

-Shows where cultural diversity was appreciated through in the form of  folk dances, ancient crafts techniques, music...  

-Reception in the Town Hall where the educative politics where explain by the person in charge of educative programmes in Konya. 

After the evaluation and coordination meeting, it is time to take all of this new learning to schools in Malta, Spain and Poland where students will definitely benefit from it.

FEBRUARY; MONTH OF SCIENCE

February has been a month of experimentation, homes have become Science labs. 

This activity helps our students to spend more time with their families as well as reduce their time using screens, which is one of our main objectives in this project. We thank all of our families their involvement in this project.

SMART KIDS TELL US WHAT THEY LEARN

Our students are learning a lot with this project and they have thought that it would be a great idea to share their message with more students that can learn from their experience ! We are really thankful to be part of this project that have given our students such a good knowledge and we hope they keep  this experience.

 

DISSEMINATION AT SCHOOL OF MALTA MOBILITY

After their arrival, teachers brought to their classes what they have learnt. This makes children involved in the activities developed in the mobility. Children have prepared some activities where they show what they understand and learn about the countries their teachers have visited as part of the project.

ETWINNING MEETING

 In February we had an eTwinning meeting to see our partners. We were really excited and happy. We could see each other for a bit. We ghad some technical problems but we enjoyed a lot. We cant wait to see all soon. 

MALTA MOBILTY:TRADITIONS AND MODERN ROBOTICS

 Some of the activities that were proposed in Malta were related to tradition and some others to Technology. On Wednesday the teams from different countries attended to a play where children represented a maltese wedding. Children were great andgave their partner teachers  some typical wedding sweets with a card made by them. 

After that all teachers received training in robotics and computional thinking across the curriculum. They  were active particiants of the  workshop where they got to programme and use robots as well as learnt how to use them in their classes. 

 The speaker taught them  different techniques to work with STEAM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics and Arts ) with Primary and Kindergarten Education children in the classroom. Both activities have been  of great interest for all teachers involved. 

MALTA MOBILITY

From the 7th to the 11th of February some of the teachers involved in the project travelled to Malta to continue with the development fo the activities that will help us to reach our targets. They worked on several topics throughout these activities:

-Direct observation of different classroom activities in Primary School and Infant Education. Throughout this activity many ideas were shared not only related to culture but also.

-Meetings for sharing ideas and new proposals for next term. 

On the first day they  visited St. Francis Primary School in  Cospicua a school with primary school students. After the proper welcome of Malta coordinator they held a meeting where teachers involved made different presentations related to the project and the use of ICT in the classrooms. 

After the meeting they visited some classes to see how children use interactive boards and Teams in their lessons.

In the afternoon, all of them  visited the city of Valletta. At 6 pm all the members of the erasmus team had a networking  dinner together. 

SAFER INTERNET DAY

 At schools the education in the correct use of New Technologies is something extremely important and teachers  are aware of this. It is a content that is in our programmes every year. Students introduction to tablets, smartphones and videogames are earlier and earlier and they need support on how to use properly and in a healthy way. 

Safer internet day gives us the opportunity to act as a whole school celebrating this day  to emphasize the importance of this topic even more than we usually do usual. 

This year all partners  worked on  the topic together an created a puzzle with all the ideas that children  worked in class. They summarize them in drawings and they were put together in a puzzle.

                         

GETTING READY FOR THE SAFER INTERNET DAY

As members of this project we are aware of the importance of  a safe use of the Internet. To foster a safe use of Internet we are working on a collaborative activivity; working with students of the four schools to put our ideas in common and create a four pieces puzzle with all of them . We have a blank image from which we will create the final product. Let's see what are the children's ideas in this topic. 

We can't wait to see it !!

JOURNALISTS IN ETWINNING

 This term our students will become journalists of a special newspaper: SMART KIDS . They will work in groups to prepare the sections they need  ( interview, news, sports, entertainment) They are working on this topic to be able to reflect on the technology, on the use we make and at the end they will realise it is important  to be responsible when we talk about tecnology and Internet.

ONLINE COORDINATION MEETING

First meeting  in 2022 to continue the coordination of the Erasmus  project. Agreements on new activities and the  possibility of a new mobility were the main topics of this new meeting .

 

WE CONTINUE THE ETWINNING WORK

 We have started to work on the first  Etwining activities. Our students will get to work together in international groups where they will be able to know each other better and to collaborate to create fantastic products that will come from their efforts and their work as an international team of journalists! We’ll done everyone!!keep on working! 

SECOND MOBILITY GDANSK POLAND

 After two hard years of COVID and restrictions we were able to continue our mobilities and this second trip was to work hand by hand with teachers and students in Gdansk from October 25th to October 29th.  These are a part of the activities in the programme: 

On Monday we visited the school , learnt from some Infant Education  sessions ( English sessions, games and routines ) we practiced  on different ICT workshops, we watched a really good video about our project performed by students of the school . This was going to be a live video but resulted impossible due to the pandemic. It was worth the effort that all children put in the performance as it reflected the spirit of Europe and its people. Children from the partner countries joined tha activities online and were active participants of this fantastic day. Good job Children! 

On Tuesday children  were the main characters as well. Teachers and  students were together in the classes, exchanging ideas and participating actively in all the activities. Students of the different participant countries joined again to the sessions online and they really enjoyed their participation. Teacher collaboratively created an ebook about the safe use of ICT and did it using book creator an app that will be definitely  used in each country with the students. 

Wednesday started with theatre workshops. This educative experience was  really positive and all teachers agreed that the activities  were really excellent to be carried out in the class as they were relly helpful to create a team spirit and to stay far from the screens for a bit, which is one of the  aims of this project. Then teachers  visited Malbork and its castle which is a classic example of a medieval fortress and, on its completion in 1406, was the world's largest brick castle. UNESCO designated the "Castle of the Teutonic Order in Malbork" and the Malbork Castle Museum a World Heritage Site in December 1997.

On Thursday techers visited  the maritime museum of Gdynia where teachers were in an intercative class about characteristics of the Baltic Sea and its species. Then a workshop was carried out to explore the characteristics of the small creatures we can find living in the ocean. 

On Friday it was time for History as teachers visited together the II World War Museum and reminded different aspects of those fatidic events.

Then  at the end of the farewell dinner certificates were handed out. 

Our students in Turkey, Malta and Spain will abosolutely be direct beneficiaries of the activities developed in Poland.

We start celebrating these Erasmus Days with Exhibitions of our works and with some dissemination of our Projects among the School Community. It is a great opportunity to share what we have learnt in the project working with all the partners involved. Happy ¡Erasmus Days everyone!
